Compatibility Issues

This page briefly explains compatibility issues you might encounter on our website.

JavaScript is unsupported or disabled

JavaScript (or JS) is a programming language and its interpreter directly embedded into majority of the modern web browsers. It allows programmers to create more interactive websites by giving them the ability to manipulate website structure after it has been rendered in your browser window.

Below is a simple demonstration of what the 1st paragraph is describing – the content manipulation. If you click the square in an JS-enabled browser, the sad face becomes smiling and the square moves across the page.

:-(

In a web browser not supporting the JS, the square remains static. Our website utilises this functionality only in the main menu animations (menu expanding and collapsing). As a result, the main menu will not work in a non-JS web browser – and you will have to rely on the side menu for site navigation.

Use of Microsoft Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer (IE) has a long history poor web standard support and security issues. Combine this with a market share of over 90% (2002-2004) and you have a broken world wide web. Creating websites that render correctly in a web standard-compliant browsers is a child's play. Making them render correctly in IE is what takes web programmers most of their time.

Just have a look yourself. This utility called Acid3 will test your web browser's support for CSS 2.1 (Cascading Style Sheet) standard. If your browser scores less than 20 out of 100, we recommend you to have a look at the alternatives:

Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Opera
